LED Display’s Main Parameter Calculation Method
LED display: LED is the abbreviation of light emitting diode, referred to as LED. Professionally speaking, it is controlled by the semiconductor light-emitting diode display, a flat panel display composed of a small LED module panel. Popularly speaking, it is usually composed of a lot of red light-emitting diodes, by lighting on and off the light to display the characters. It is used to display text, graphics, images, animation, video, video signals, etc.
First, indoor LED display calculation
Calculate the numbers of LED unit modules: module numbers of screen length or height = pre-made length or height of the whole LED screen ÷ unit module’s length or height.
Calculate the actual screen size. Actual screen length or height = unit module’s length or height x length and height of the module numbers. Usually, the size of the outer frame for the LED screen is around 5-10cm.
(2) Figuring out the area of the screen when there is no length and height.
If it is only given with the area, the length and height need to be calculated. You can use the height and length with 4: 3 or 16: 9 ratio to calculate (generally by 16: 9), so the picture is good. This is because the ratio of 4: 3, 16: 9 can be directly broadcast for TV signal, 4: 3 is to make square display and 16: 9 for rectangular display.
Second, outdoor LED display calculation
(1) Figure out the specific data (height and length).
Calculate the number of unit LED cabinet/panel: cabinet number of screen length or width = pre-made length or width of the whole LED screen ÷ height and length of the unit cabinet/panel.
Calculate the actual screen size. Actual screen height or length = height or length of the unit cabinet × cabinet numbers of the height or length.
(2) Figure out the area of the whole LED screen when there is no height and length. (same as the indoor LED screen)
Third, LED display installation requirements
Power supply requirements: power supply wiring points should be within the screen size
220V main power supply, fire line zero line grounding;
380V main power supply, three fire line a zero line grounding;
More than a kilowatt display should be equipped with antihypertensive start device.
Communication requirements: communication distance is defined as the communication line length.
Install the communication line with the length of the communication line used for the model of the installed display.
The communication line is prohibited from being routed in the same conduit as the power cord.
Installation requirements: the display installed around the level, not allowed to tilt
To install the upper and lower adjustment rod
Install the wall before the installation to fall off the hook
Installation of the ground to add positioning support bolts.
Fourth, the LED unit board current number of the formula is as follows.
Unit board current = (total number of pixels per unit board * number of pixels per pixel * single LED current size / scan number) single LED current size is usually 0.005 to 0.02, usually can be 0.01A.
But some luminous tubes may need to use 0.02A current calculation, or even higher, this will produce greater power consumption. This board is slightly higher brightness but powerful heat, easy to burn out, the lamp will quickly aging, is a very bad design.
Fifth, calculation of LED display scanning method
Scan mode: in a certain display area, while the number of lines lit and the proportion of the entire area of the number of rows. Indoor single color is generally 1/16 scan,
Indoor full color is generally 1/8 scan,
Outdoor single color is generally 1/4 scan,
Outdoor full color is usually static scan.
For the LED display on the current market, there are two kinds of static scanning and dynamic scanning, static scanning is divided into static real pixels and static virtual, dynamic scanning is also divided into dynamic-real and dynamic-virtual.
